Hear tech professionals’ career stories and consider if a digital career path might be right for you.
What you can expect
Local tech professionals will speak about their career journeys including what or who inspired them to pursue their tech path – even sharing career detours and challenges. Hear insights on the future of work and the critical skills required to join and thrive in the digital economy. Panelists will also answer your questions.

Space is limited and pre-registration is requested. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

Panelists for this event:
Ken Hartman
Ken Hartman is an independent security consultant based in Traverse City where he works with his clients to secure their data in the public cloud. He also travels as a SANS Technology Institute instructor. He has a background in computer science and engineering, and previously worked at startup companies and Google.
Brian VanVoorst
Brian lives in Traverse City and has a background in computer science. He works remotely for BBN Technologies as a Lead Scientist where he works on research and development projects, brainstorming solutions to challenging problems and leading teams exploring solutions. He previously worked at NASA and Honeywell.

This series of events features local tech experts working in various specialties (coding, cybersecurity, data analytics and artificial intelligence). Through in-person panel discussions, the panelists will share their experiences and answer your questions.
