Entrepreneurship Fundamentals: Taking Your Idea to the Next Level

Join us for an entrepreneurship workshop in partnership with Central Michigan University’s Master in Entrepreneurial Ventures (MEV) program.

Workshop attendees will learn:

  • How to locate customer problems that are worth solving and aligned with their interests and expertise.
  • The process of customer discovery – which allows entrepreneurs to uncover the exact issues of importance for the target market before they waste precious time and energy building a product that no one wants.
  • Introduction to a suite of time-saving technology solutions for entrepreneurs that can assist with legal processes, bookkeeping, graphic design, and more!

This is an in-person event; attend at 20Fathoms. Please register.

Presenter David Nows:

David is the Chairperson of Central Michigan University’s Entrepreneurship Department and is the Director of CMU’s one-of-a-kind Master in Entrepreneurial Ventures (MEV) program. David is an expert on the financing of entrepreneurial ventures and has authored articles published in top-rated business law journals like the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law and the N.Y.U. Journal of Law & Business. In the classroom, David teaches undergraduate and masters level courses in law, entrepreneurship, and venture development. In addition to David’s teaching duties, David takes an active role in CMU’s New Venture Competition (“NVC”), helping to mentor student venture teams. Prior to joining CMU, David was an attorney at Foster Swift Collins & Smith, P.C. in Lansing, Michigan, where he advised start-up and emerging entities on the breadth of legal questions they face. David is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and the University of Michigan.
