This month, we talked to Don Greilick, Inventor/Founder of Greilick Industries.

In today’s world of automation, we believe that automatic tool change (ATC) should be affordable, even standard equipment on CNC mills and routers. Simple ATC used to be a dream for the light industrial manufacturing market and our product RapidChange ATC is now making it a reality for many. 

RapidChange ATC is a solution for the light industrial CNC manufacturing market creating total automation in CNC machine workflow at a fraction of the traditional cost. RapidChange ATC makes automatic tool changes for CNC machines utilizing spindle torque and is controlled by code allowing machinists to run programs with multiple tool changes without the need for manual intervention. This increases production, reduces machine downtime, and ultimately saves time and money.

By growing awareness through our YouTube channel and reaching out to influential people in the CNC industry, we have procured high-quality videos of product setup and installation at no cost. We’re also currently in the process of collaborating with a large influencer in the CNC space with subscribers approaching 1 million. We anticipate creating a number of new jobs when we expand in spring.

Find a solution or a better alternative to a problem others want solved. The larger the problem, the larger the reward.

20Fathoms has guided and connected us with valuable resources and shared insights that have allowed us to grow and move towards our goals. We have also received help from SCORE and SBDC, as well as the MEDC where we’re working closely with their international trade department to expand our product outreach in Europe.
