Gretchen leads strategic partnerships and talent initiatives at 20Fathoms, working with local, regional, state, and national partners to identify opportunities that strengthen Northern Michigan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. She serves as the grant lead for the MEDC Small Business Support Hub program and has managed 20Fathoms’ Women in Tech programming since 2022. With a background in human resources, technology integration, and talent development—including serving as Director of Human Resources at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa—Gretchen brings deep experience supporting growing organizations and the people behind them. She holds dual senior HR certifications (SPHR and SHRM-SCP), a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University, and a certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan. Outside of work, she enjoys restoring the native habitat of her property and exploring Northern Michigan’s hiking, biking, and ski trails.

Breakfast Lab is a weekly event at 20Fathoms where you’ll get expert guidance to help meet your most pressing startup needs, providing access to the right tools and the right people at the right time.
These events are held in person and will be offered virtually. There is no cost to attend. Coffee and a light breakfast are provided. Walk-ins are welcome.
