20Fathoms is now accepting applications for the spring 2023 cohort of the Business Essentials Course and scholarships are available for qualified individuals.
Scholarships for those underrepresented in tech entrepreneurship
20Fathoms is encouraging those typically underrepresented in tech-based business ownership including Native Americans, women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans and individuals with disabilities to apply for the course and is offering a limited number of scholarships to these individuals. The scholarships will cover 100% of the cost for those selected.
Support for those facing financial and other barriers
In addition, needs-based support may be available for those who face financial and other barriers to attending this course such as computer or internet access, childcare, and transportation.
Qualifications
To qualify for the scholarship or additional support, individuals must:
- Live in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau counties
- Be the founder or idea-stage entrepreneur of a tech based business
About the Business Essentials Course
The Business Essentials Course is a 9-week program to help launch your business. Designed especially for tech-based businesses, participants will attend weekly virtual classes, meet experts and mentors, access valuable resources, learn alongside peers, and attend optional in-person networking events.
This course is hosted by 20Fathoms in partnership with Northwestern Michigan College and with support from Hagerty.
