20Fathoms is pleased to announce a new exhibition of local artwork at their coworking space, featuring the work of Ram Lee.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to show my art and support 20Fathoms,” said Ram.
All of Ram’s paintings at 20Fathoms are available for purchase with prices starting at $250. He has generously agreed to donate a percentage of the sales to 20Fathoms to support the organization’s work to advance tech entrepreneurship in the Grand Traverse Region.
About the Artist
Locally, Ram may be best known for his work as a tattoo artist. He owns Traverse City Tattoo where he has a 6-9 month waiting list, and he also tattoos internationally working the Tattoo Convention Circuit.
But since the age of 20, Ram has been a painter and illustrator. In the past five years, he has found a renewed focus and passion for painting.
“When I paint, I paint for me,” said Ram. “Tattooing has been my passion and I love working with my clients to come up with their forever art on their bodies, but painting lets me escape into what I want to do. I love painting memories and anything outdoors.”
In addition to 20Fathoms, Ram’s paintings can be seen in Traverse City at Art & Soul Gallery and My Secret Stash.
When Ram is not painting or tattooing, he enjoys public speaking at churches and men’s groups about his faith story. He and his wife, December, have a son, Dakota, who is also a professional artist.
Ram is also a veteran and former firefighter/EMT. And he’s not planning to slow down any time soon.
“My new focus on painting is working out great as I never intend to retire,” said Ram. “I’m an artist, so why stop being one?”
