By 20Fathoms

20Fathoms is pleased to announce the four companies selected to compete at the TCNewTech pitch competition on September 10, 4:30 – 7:30 pm, at the City Opera House in Traverse City.

Pitch presenters:

Berry Bot Soap Maker
The Berry Bot Soap Maker is the first smart automated system to make natural cold process soaps faster, safer, and more efficiently. They are looking to make a sustainability and social impact by equipping people with new skills that can help them generate an income and promote economic wellbeing for themselves and their communities.

RV City Hosts
RV City Hosts is an innovative online platform transforming how self-contained RV owners find bookable overnight parking in urban and suburban areas. They connect RV travelers with hosts located near cities and their vibrant cultural experiences. Their hosts include small businesses, hotels, breweries, coffee shops, churches, nonprofits, museums, homeowners, venues, urban parking lots, city lots, parks, and more. Hosts can earn revenue from parking alone or by offering additional amenities such as electric hookups, water fill-ups, WiFi, and more.

Vetr Health
Vetr Health is a tech-enabled, membership-based, in-home veterinary care service for pets. Our annual memberships focus on wellness and preventative care, including vaccines, testing, telehealth, prescriptions, and digital records. They are vertically integrated with an in-house, high-volume reference laboratory, which keeps their overhead low and allows them to offer affordably priced memberships while paying their veterinary team above the market rate.

Wave Lumina
Wave Lumina is an early-stage Traverse City, MI based environmental contaminant testing device company. For environmental consulting firms and remediation companies who need rapid, cost-effective PFAS contamination testing, their Contamination Field Screening Device (CFSD) is a portable testing device that provides onsite analytical results in minutes. Unlike existing laboratory-based testing methods that are costly and take weeks to deliver results, their product offers rapid, affordable, on-site detection of a broad range of PFAS compounds.

The pitch presenters will compete for a $5000 first place award, $2000 second place award, and $500 audience favorite award.

Pitch presentations will be judged by a panel of local startup experts including:
