20Fathoms welcomes new team members to support local entrepreneurs

20Fathoms is pleased to welcome several new team members who will lead the organization’s expanded programming for startups and small businesses in Northwest Michigan.

Delaney Keating joined the organization as Director of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization. In this role, she oversees 20Fathoms’ business incubation and acceleration initiatives, access to capital program, and technology transfer.  Delaney has spent her career in entrepreneurship, startups, and technology. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, Delaney was Managing Director of Pando Telecom where she led the company to 10x growth over 12 months. She was also the Executive Director of Startup Colorado where she developed the organization from the ground up, establishing a first-of-its-kind statewide rural startup network. Additionally she served as Co-founder of Catapult Outdoor Industry Accelerator.

David Kronberg joined the organization as Director of Regional Small Business Support Hub. In this role, he develops the strategy, resources, and community partnerships that enable 20Fathoms to provide startup support services to entrepreneurs throughout Northwest Michigan. Dave has spent his career in Northern Michigan as a small business founder, startup ecosystem builder, technologist, designer, and community leader. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, he most recently served as Director of Entrepreneurial Services & Outreach at Innovate Marquette SmartZone & Invent@NMU. He is also Founder and President of Fresh Coast Light Lab, a public art production company integrating original artwork into architectural laser shows on Marquette’s iconic lower harbor Ore Dock.

Annie Zimmerman joined the organization as Manager of Member Engagement. In this role, she manages the 20Fathoms coworking space and membership program. Annie has deep expertise in entrepreneurship. She was Co-Founder of One Oak Bride, a bridal shop in downtown Traverse City, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Anchorlight Creative where she helped women entrepreneurs with strategic planning and marketing initiatives. She is also Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Helm Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing leadership programming for women and girls. 

In other staff moves, Maria Purvis, now serves as Manager of Events & Special Programming where she produces the TCNewTech pitch competitions, lunch-and-learns, and other events for the startup community. Maria originally joined the 20Fathoms team in 2020 as Engagement Manager.

Additionally, Ashley Sloat has joined the 20Fathoms Board of Directors.
