20Fathoms Offers Scholarships for Digital Marketing and Business Analytics Courses Through “The Future is Digital Challenge”
20Fathoms is working to cultivate a hub of tech talent in Traverse City, Michigan. We previously introduced learning communities for software developers (tccodes) and cybersecurity professionals (tccyber). Now, through our partnership with the Center on Rural Innovation, we are expanding our tech-focused education programming by offering two tracks on the Udacity online learning platform: digital marketing and business analytics.
Who Can Participate
Adults and high school students who reside in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau counties.
Cost to Participate
Phase One (Foundational Course) is free to all participants. For Phase Two (Nanodegree Program), full scholarships are available based on assessment scores.
How it Works
Phase One:
Learn the fundamentals of either digital marketing or business analytics. No prerequisites are required. Coursework is self-paced and will take approximately 40 hours total. Successful completion requires passing a certificate assessment.
Phase Two:
Participants who pass the Phase One certification assessment will be eligible for the Phase Two, Nanodegree Programs in digital marketing or business analytics. The top scorers of a “Final Assessment” test will receive scholarships to cover the cost of the program. The practitioner-level Nanodegree Programs are self-paced and include hands-on experience working on real world projects. The program will take approximately 10 hours/week for three months.
Learners who successfully complete the Nanodegree Programs will have the skills and knowledge needed to pursue entry level positions in digital marketing or business analytics.
A Supportive Learning Community
Program participants will receive wrap-around support during their courses including:
- A supportive online community of peers and mentors
- Free membership at the 20Fathoms coworking space
- Mentorship and coaching opportunities
