20Fathoms is pleased to welcome several new team members who will expand the organization’s operations and programming as it grows to support more startups and small businesses across Northwest Michigan.
Ellen Miller joined the organization as Manager of Marketing & Communications. In this role, she manages marketing and communications to promote programs, resources, and events for Northern Michigan entrepreneurs. Ellen has spent her career in nonprofit communications. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, she led communications and strategy for a church and its affiliated community outreach organization, supporting people experiencing homelessness.
Wes Sovis joined the organization as Manager of Development. In this role, he manages development and fundraising, working with community members interested in supporting and engaging in 20Fathoms’ work. Wes’ background is in nonprofit development and communications. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, he served as the Director of Development & Communications at Norte Youth Cycling. He is a Traverse City native.
Erin Srebinski joined the organization as Manager of Startup Education. In this role, she develops and manages startup education programs at 20Fathoms including workshops, bootcamps, courses, and other resources. Erin has spent her career in the startup world, focusing on all aspects of launching new ventures with a strong emphasis on customer experience and discovery. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, Erin was an Experience Strategist at City Innovations, where she supported startups with growth strategy, UX research and strategy, and content strategy.
