Maria Purvis

Maria  is 20Fathoms’ event manager, producing pitch competitions, lunch-and-learns, and networking sessions for our startup community. Her greatest joy comes from creating events that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses through new connections, learnings, and inspiration.

Maria’s background is in marketing, small business management, and law. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English and history from Tulane University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School.

A Traverse City native, Maria enjoys finding the interpersonal connections that are a unique hallmark of a small community. Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, and going for walks in the woods.
