Gretchen leads strategic partnerships and talent initiatives at 20Fathoms.Working with local, regional, state and national organizations to identify opportunities to collaborate moving the region forward. She serves as the grant lead for the MEDC Small Business Support Hub program and has managed our Women in Tech programming since 2022.
Gretchen is passionate about ensuring our region offers youth and the working age community compelling opportunities to consider building their careers, businesses and lives here. To support those efforts, she currently serves on several education partner advisory committees. Additionally, she represents our region on Michigan Small Business Development Center’s (MISBDC) advisory board. She has supported entrepreneurs and growing organizations as a consultant specializing in technology integration and talent development. Previously, she held the role of Director of Human Resources with Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa as a member of the executive committee.
Gretchen is a dual senior certificated human resources professional (SPHR and SHRM-SCP). She holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and earned a certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management.
In her spare time, Gretchen is working to restore the native habitat of her property. You can also often find her exploring the region’s hiking, biking, and ski trails.
