The federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs make more than $5 billion in non-dilutive capital available to innovative small companies every year\, bridging the gap between your early-stage idea and proof that it has real market potential. \nJoin BBC\, etc experts for a virtual session covering what’s changed since the programs’ reauthorization\, eligibility requirements\, the differences between SBIR and STTR\, and how to identify which federal agencies might be interested in funding your technology. \nAbout the Presenter\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJerry Hollister is Co-Owner of BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting (BBCetc)\, having joined the firm in 2017 and becoming co-owner in 2023. He leads customer development efforts and oversees BBCetc’s NSF\, DoD\, DOE\, and USDA team\, supporting clients across multiple federal agencies\, and serves as an SBIR/STTR reviewer for NSF\, DOE\, USDA\, and NOAA. \nJerry began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps and served as a warranted DoD Contracting Officer. Prior to BBCetc\, he was Chief Operating Officer of Niowave\, where he helped build the company from startup to national prominence\, leading teams that secured over 45 SBIR/STTR awards totaling more than $20 million. He continues to serve on Niowave’s Board of Directors and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan along with two AI certificates from MIT. \n\nAbout Breakfast Lab\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBreakfast Lab is a weekly event at 20Fathoms where you’ll get expert guidance to help meet your most pressing startup needs.
